Updated pkg-plist
Updated pkg-plist
I did something stupid with this port and passed the fake dir with configure. Add DESTDIR to Makefile.in so this port works properly. This may help with magus. Either way, it's much more correct.
This port "randomly" fails on magus nodes. I don't believe some of the flags are implemented in cpio on 0.2 and current that it's trying to use. Set it to gcpio. Remove some of the extra install text too.
Remove rawio. This port is not fetchable. The FTP server is empty and has been for awhile.
Update pkg-plist
Updated distinfo
This port was creating a plist automagically. However, it was not creating the symlinks properly outside the fake environment. THat's why flash broke when a user make clean this port. Now the plist is created to pickup the symlinks in the fake dir. I'm not certain this will work without nspluginwrapper, but most people will want that anyway. If that's the case, we should probably just require it.
i should test these things

Remove german subdirectory. All ports have been moved to logical categories. Ports with german language end in -de on the file system and most are prefixed with de- for package names. (if not they have the -de suffix) Most ports were moved to either misc or textproc. tvbrowser, dict, phone, manpages, and the related aspell, ispell and staroffice ports were all moved.

Move staroffice in german here.
Move the adobe acrobat german ports to print. This will keep them together. Some time ago, ctriv and I talked about not using seperate directories for language support. It's awkward as you have to look there first to see if the app is in your native language and then elsewhere if you fail to find something. Hopefully mport's gui will sort by categories so we can just tag them with the language like german, etc. (maybe that should be i18n too) For now, follow this convention until we decide on something better. On the file system, the lang is the suffix, but it's the PKGNAMEPREFIX in the port file. There are situations we can't use a suffix nore often than a prefix. However, on the file system it sucks not to see all the acrobat ports together for instance. Perhaps we should make a special prefix or suffix on packages for langauges? I'll let ctriv think about that.

I don't think this will matter, but let's try it. Add missing dependancy on libxml2.Explicitly disable several features if they are not enabled such as avahi, meanwhile, etc. From their changelog: libpurple In MySpaceIM, messages from spambots are discarded (Justin Williams) Strip mIRC formatting codes from quit and part messages. IRC now displays ban lists in-channel for joined channels. Fixed a bug where the list of loaded plugins would get removed when switching between different operating systems. Fix reception of IRC PART without a part message on Undernet (fixes a problem with litter in the channel user list). IRC no longer crashes on /list on servers which erroneously omit RPL_LISTSTART. Update the NetworkManager support to use D-Bus directly, instead of libnm-glib. Hopefully it's stable now. It will now compile by default if you have D-Bus support and NetworkManager.h. (Elliott Sales de Andrade) MSN buddy list synchronization is now more forgiving, only asking about buddies who have disappeared completely from the server list and not those that have simply moved groups. IRC will now try to append 1-9 to your nick if it is in use, instead of substituting the last character with 1-9 where possible. Bonjour buddies will be saved persistently if they're moved out of the "Bonjour" group. (Eion Robb) Pidgin The typing notification in the conversation history can be disabled or customized (font, color etc.) in .gtkrc-2.0. Added a plugin (not installed by default) which adds a Send button back to the conversation window. People without physical keyboards have a hard time with the lack of the button. Clicking on the buddyicon in the conversation window toggles the size of the icon between small and large. The settings of a chat (e.g. Handle in an XMPP chat, or Exchange in an AIM chat) can be edited from its context menu in the buddy list. Add a "Present conversation window" preference to the Message Notification plugin; the "Raise conversation window" option does not unminimize windows or draw attention to them when they are on other workspaces--the "Present" option should. Add a preference to set Escape as the keyboard shortcut for closing the conversation window. Add an option in the context menu to disable smileys in the selected text in the conversation history/log viewer. This should help people who regularly paste code in conversations. Add a preference to choose the minimum size of the text input area in lines. Moved the "Local alias" field in the Modify Account dialog to be below the "User Options" heading on the "Basic" tab. Number of room occupants is now shown in chat tooltips where possible General The configure script now dies on more absent dependencies. The --disable-xxx arguments to configure can be used to bypass unneeded dependencies. This will also cause the configure script to die if an --enable-xxx option is used and the dependencies it requires are missing. The Evolution integration plugin must now be explicitly enabled. Use the --enable-gevolution argument to configure to enable it. The Contact Availability Prediction plugin must now be explicitly enabled. Use the --enable-cap argument to configure to enable it.

Try to fix the pkg-message output. It's giving the fake path which we don't want.
Stupid cheap freebsd port. Let's do dependancies correctly shall we.

File extension might be nice...
Add a new set of targets to create a file with commands to create the symlinks needed by the ftp server for packages. This is very "raw" and writes to / so it's not the best. However, i need something to fix the current packages. Also, we could run this on a mports tarball from a magus run to generate the files in the futre. (until mport is done)

Add tk and tcl generic categories. Remove zope and a few others we don't need.
Update to 4.3.1. Switch to subfiles for the shell scripts.
Add libssh2, an implementation of ssh by rfc under a bsd license.
This isn't ready for magus yet, but it should work with regular users. gpg2 is looked for in FAKE_DESTDIR PREFIX due to the way the "configure" script works. I've added /usr/local/bin to the search path. Ideally we should check LOCALBASE.
For non commercial use only (free). Change distfile location. Setup xorg depends properly.
Some of the pb files were not copied properly. It's unlikely pb would work on mnbsd anyway, but we should be complete.

Similar to the jedit port, add a build depends on java but do not set JAVA_BUILD which implies we're compiling something too! We almost need a third option between NO_BUILD and JAVA_BUILD
Got it. Found a way to add the build depends and keep NO_BUILD
Ok this failed on magus too. Technicall NO_BUILD and JAVA_BUILD can't both be set. however we need java installed before fake because fake uses a java INSTALLER. WTF do we do with this.

Update to 5.5.26. The distinfo file was wrong in the previous version. It did not include the compat library. Might as well update to the latest while we're here.
Update to 4.16. This version adds BitTorrent support. It is also fetchable! Requires Java 1.4.2 now.
Strictly speaking, I don't need to bump this but since there was a bug in bsd.mport.mk...
Operation hack job. When we went to fake, we lost the install-desktop-entries target. A few Java ports use this to generate .desktop files so freedesktop friendly environments know about the apps. This also makes the ${PREFIX}/share/applications directory automagically.

Update to the devel version of the next milestone. The ports table is now the cross product of the archs and the ports. This makes the rest of the schema much more natural. There is now a ready_ports view in the database. A snap table has been added. This will be used to keep nodes on the right version of the mports tree.

Downgrade to gpl3, Update to 1.14.1. This has been tested on 0.1.1-RELEASE (upgraded).
This is a bit of an experiment. We've set rpath locally for this port. The upside is that itworks, but only if OpenSSL is not included in the build. That is appended later. This is not the fundamental problem with this build on some current systems. The real issue is that /lib is sucked in before /usr/local/lib for gcc 4.1 libraries. A fix would be to modify the path used to search libs for this (and other gnustep) port(s). It now assumes freebsd6 in configure. Interestingly we replace LDCONFIG_GCC but it doesn't seem to have any value in our or freebsd's ports system.

Broke the common commands into bsd.commands.mk. Documentation fixes. The docs in the begining of bsd.mport.mk now reflect reality. Added SKIP_FAKE_CHECK. A list of files that aren't checked to see if they contain the fake destdir. Perl now adds the packlist to this automatically. Replaced TARGETDIR with PREFIX in many places. This is a continuation of work to restrict the use of DESTDIR to install-package. USE_XORG now works properly with pre/post.port.mk.

Fake fixes.
Fake fixes. This is a good example of how to use the new run-* targets. This port still needs some work, there's no reason to build all of freetype, but the tools' build system leaves something to be desired.
Add run-configure and run-build targets. These targets are run by do-configured and do-build respectfully (the do-targets are thin wrappers). This allows you to override do-build, do something, and the then run the normal build process without having to reproduce it in your port makefile. Broke the fake process out of the monolithic fake-install target into several smaller targets. This allows the port maintainer to override the do-fake target if needed. These changes are protential unstable. I believe there to be no regressions, but until a run magus run can be done, be wary.

Back out the prior fix. A more general fix has been added to bsd.mport.mk.
NO_INSTALL now skips fake, not install. This way, the fake installed isn't attempted. Ports that have no files will have an empty plist. The package will be installed, but no files come from the package. This way the package installation is still in the package database. This may cause some instability in ports, but it is the correct behavior.

There are two related issues with this port. First, the mtree file is not placed in the fake-inst-i386 directory on amd64 platforms, but the linux files are. Therefore this port is a special case for the fake directory. For now, I've created a hack that does a ${WRKSRC}../fake-inst-i386 which should work on both platforms. We should probably generalize this hack or perhaps ctriv@ knows a solution. Second, the MPORT Maintainer script will always fail checking fake. It can't find the mtree file in either fake directory on amd64. However, I've verified the file is there and is installed properly (now). I bumped the port revision to help out amd64 users like myself.

missing patch files.
Update libpurple to 2.2.1 from pidgin. This is not being used as a MASTER port for pidgin anymore. The PIDGIN_SLAVE concept was seriously broken with our current ports system. This will be fixed at a later time. We're disabling it with gaim or pidgin installed and leaving the port in case we want it for another program. We should revisit the slave problem later.
The PIDGIN_SLAVE hack is terrible and with recent changes to our ports tree is broken. This causes the pidgin port to be seperate from libpurple. We'll have to figure out another approach to sharing the lib. For now we'll keep the ports seperate. Upgrade from 2.0 b1 to 2.2.1. We also updated gnutls which appears to fix a crash issue. We may need to update this further, but we'll wait and see. Make sure you update gnutls before running pidgin. This corrects a security issue with MSN among other things. Deinstall libpurple before installing this port.

add the last freaking depends for gdm. This fails to install if Maintainer mode is on because of a dependancy on a python script. It appears to actually install fine, just triv's grep looks for the fake dir which is included in all python lib object files.
Fix the xorg-drivers bug with the meta-port. xorg-drivers needs to run make config to know its dependancies. However, make package ran before that happened, putting the wrong dependancies into the xorg package. Moved all the depends to build time depends.
PIB is the ports index browser. It was developed for FreeBSD's ports collection, but it will work with our current environment. This allows you to use a nice gui app to view dependancies and do searches on ports meta data. Very handy. I've modified the default paths to source our mports INDEX-6 file.

CVE-2007-4565
Update to 6.3.8 Regression fixes for KPOP and repoll after server disconnect. Fix insecure APOP authentication. Fix master sites for fetching. Add pkg-message pointing to documenation in rc script. Install fetchmailrc with 640 since it may contain passwords. The fetchmailrc.sample file is still installed 644 Remove circular dependency in rcorder by removing the (unnessary) constraint that fetchmail is started "BEFORE LOGIN". "REQUIRE mail" (which in turn requires LOGIN) is enough. Actually respect the `fetchmail_user' variable in single daemon mode
Fix circular dependancy
1. maildir patch was referenced in the Makefile, but not available in the options. I've corrected this and updated the distfile with the latest patch for maildir support. We no longer get fetch errors with that patch. 2. I've added the password file support as an option, but it is disabled by default. Technically we are in a ports freeze and the second part of this does not fall in the rules. This patch was tested on stargazre with three different iterations of options testing. It does not cover all possible cases, but it should be fairly stable.
Update to 1.0.5. This is a bugfix release which addresses the following from 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 * Assume a MIME message if Content-Type: header exists, even if Mime-Version: header doesn't. - IMAP: CREATE ns_prefix/box/ didn't work right when namespace prefix existed. - deliver: plugin {} settings were overriding settings from userdb. - mbox: Expunging the first message might not have worked always - PostgreSQL: If we can't connect to server, timeout queries after a while instead of trying forever. - Solaris: sendfile() support was broken and could have caused 100% CPU usage and the connection hanging. And one more thing I forgot from NEWS file: - IMAP: Fixed infinite loop in some situations v1.0.4 was a bit bad release. - deliver: v1.0.4 broke home directory handling - maildir: Creating mailboxes didn't use dovecot-shared's group for cur/new/tmp directories.
Add Packages and Distfiles. Sometime in the future packages and distfiles will be removed.

Add license. These files are ending up in /usr/local/lib/npapi/
Fix pkg-plist. We still install some of the freebsd configuration files so include them so they are removed on deinstall Adjust paths since Adobe products moved to localbase. This needs an overhaul at some point. The flash port paths in the example conf might not be correct. The port is not working properly so it's hard to say right now.

updated to use prefixhack.
--infodir and --mandir are now set for gnu configure scripts, provided the script supports the arguments. new FAKE_OPTS option: prefixhack. This implements the common idium of overiding prefix when make install is called in the wrksrc. It makes sure to override infodir and mandir, as this are now explicitly set and no longer $prefix relative. plists generated by makeplist (gen-plist) now use @dirrm instead of @dirrmtry. Continuing changes to describe-yaml, as this is still a moving target.
$MidnightBSD$

Add Linux Sun JDK 1.6

Add MidnightBSD ftp server to backup list.
Fix path to file on GNU master site.
Switch this over to MASTER_SITE_FREEBSD_LOCAL. That should minimize the file not found issues.
Update to 1.4.4. There are problems with several of the options (make config) This is only guaranteed to work with the defaults right now. The book should install as well. Most notabily the apache module is known to be broken at the moment. I'm working on it.
Eventually MASTER_SITES_LOCAL will be for our stuff. Add MASTER_SITES_FREEBSD_LOCAL for situations where MASTER_SITES_LOCAL is used and we don't want to host hte files ourselves (yet) or we are unsure of licensing.
Make sure xorg-libraries dependancy is there.
Fake fixes.
Ascii art is a big no no. Remove it from pkg-message. We don't support the Alpha so remove the pkg-plist and Makefile references.
Welcome back FreeBSD 4.x compatibility! We missed you! Since we don't have two cases, we'll just use pkg-plist. The ldconfig steps are handled automatically according to ctriv (per compat5x commit) We'll do the same here.
add GNU findutils. This is used by the svn port in some cases.
$MidnightBSD$
Subversion 1.4.3. I won't bother to post it here, but the changelog is an interesting read.
Fake fix
Silly me didn't bump the port revision.
Subversion is dying when BDB 43 or better is installed. Let's just force it to 42 for now. This fixes a problem building ports that depend on subversion when db43+ is installed (KDE for instance). We should *really* fix this later.
Fake fixes. Added license.
Add USE_XLIB to fix build issue.
Fix text.
fix plist.
update to 1.4.0

Found the issue with poppler and qt. We used to install into the x11 directory and now the files are in /usr/local/include which is somewhat nonstandard.

Fix CD mount points to work with Distfiles not distfiles. Cleaned up describe-yaml some.
Skip distfiles and Distfiles
Start of the perl libraries for playing with mports. At the moment this commit is simply to backup my work so far. The code is not yet usable. As perl will be the official language for major scripting in the mports system, these libraries will - over time - become quite extensive.
Opera 9.23
Upgrade to Opera 9.23 linux edition.
This *should* fix the dependancy issue reported on the midnightbsd-users mailing list with this port. I also removed an old check for xfree86 which we don't even have in mports.
non functional chnage.
We added BDB 45 recently, let's update the list. Remove old versions of MySQL we do not have in ports.
Package is not created properly. Mark as broken for now.
Add gnome-icon-theme.
Add icon naming utils, part of tango. This is used by newer Gnome ports. If we ever want to get part of that in for GTK apps, this is needed.
I'm not a Perl master like ctriv, but I think I've got this port installing based on the changes he made to p5-XML-SAX yesterday.
it appears this was not committed.
Update rsync to 2.6.9
Update avahi
Update to 0.12. The libversion changed from .2 to .0. This may effect other ports, but is needed to update avahi.
Update to 0.16. Fixed for fake. Added license.
This port had an old attempt to work with both bsd.mport.mk and bsd.port.mk. This attempt was flawed, and has been removed.
Use GCPIO.
Fake fixes. This needs a lot of testing on other systems.
The symlink paths for the include files were wrong and this causes issues with GNUstep-gui
nonfunctional changes.
Add p5-HTTP-DAV also known as PERLDAV for archite :)
add p5-XML-DOM
add p5-XML-RegExp
Update squirrelmail to 1.4.10a. This is a security update.
Fix this damn port. add an additional site to fetch it from. Update the URI in the pkg-descr. Fix the fake. Note this library is considered "legacy" so we should try to avoid using it in other ports if possible.
A long needed upate to ImageMagick. This fixes some security issues. The perl man page is not installed as there is a bug I haven't sorted out yet.
$MidnightBSD$ Brand as MidnightBSD in OS output. stop cat'ing the pkg-message. This is done automatically.
shouldn't conflict with thttpd anymore, but technically should with apache 2.2.
Apache now reports MidnightBSD as it's OS in HTTP headers, etc. FreeBSD icons are no longer used on the Powered By logo. (in fact none are used) The port no longer has to fetch local distfiles from freebsd.org. $MidnightBSD$ This has also been tested with the recent bsd.apache.mk change.
Overhaul on bsd.apache.mk. Remove most of the APACHE 1.3 stuff since we never intend to support that outdated version. Many people have issues with the newer apache license, but they often switch to lighttpd, bozo or some other webserver. The other reasoning is that MidnightBSD is primarily a desktop operating system and so we need to support development which is going to focus on the future i.e. Apache 2.x. Worst case this could always be merged back in if someone actually has the energy to port apache 1.3.x. We should sweep for apache 1.3+ usages for versions and correct them.
Still more master sites changes.
Shouldn't have removed this.
Our master sites are quite out of date. This will fix some fetch problems we've been having.
I don't get how we didn't have MASTER_SITE_NVIDIA when this used to work. Let's fix it.
Add nvclock for people using the nvidia i386 binary driver.

Fix PLIST_SUB bug. Remove the modification of /etc/shells from post-install. This is done in the plist by pkg_add. I wonder if ZSH_ETCDIR should be $PREFIX/etc by default.
Add kmysqladmin.

Update linux-opera to 9.22.
Really update to p29.
We actually have p28 not 29.
The last approach did not work in CURRENT. The GNUstep path ended up as /usr/local/GNUstep/Local/Local/Applications/WPrefs.app in CURRENT but /usr/local/GNUstep/Local/Applications/WPrefs.app in 0.1. This version uses @prefix which *may* work as expected in both CURRENT and 0.1. Tested on 0.1 so far.
5 days ago, the path was changed for WPrefs.app. This caused make install to faiil on 0.1. The configure script hard coded the GNUstep path to GNUstep/Applications. Somehow this was unnoticed on CURRENT or worked properly. Patch the configure script with the correct path so that we can build this for 0.1-RELEASE.

Add USE_GCPIO to pull in the GNU cpio to fix ports in CURRENT.
Introduce new USE_GCPIO option. This must be set to use ${CPIO} in a makefile. It sets an extract dependancy on the new archivers/gcpio port. This is needed to fix the linux ports as they rely on GNU style -- features.
Add GNU cpio 2.9 to mports. This version is under GPLv3. The port was based on OpenBSD's ports/archivers/gcpio.
2.1.14 is borked. This version seems to build the pkgdb properly.

trueprefix strikes again. This port built a package but did not install wmCalClock. It appears it was completely missing a pkg-plist. By getting rid of true prefix, editing the patch-aa to use ${PREFIX} and making the pkg-plist, the binary is properly installed in /usr/local/bin/wmCalClock.

Update to 1.2.18. Fix long standing problem where libpng-config was created in /usr/local/bin instead of the fake directory. As the path is still set properly to /usr/local for the library in libpng-conf but it is installed in ${DESTDIR}${PREFIX}, everything should work according to plan. The cairo port is acting up with png, so hopefully we've fixed some of the problems on that front.
add fuse union fs
check-license stopping make was so annoying that MPORT_MAINTAINER_MODE wasn't being used. Changed to sleep for 5 seconds instead. The package-recursive target was broken for the new port build process. Updated to the new reality.

Remove optimized byte swap routine for i386. This is broken with the new version and we don't have the resources to maintain patches like this.
Don't try to do anything for ldconfig with gnustep. GNUstep will configure LD_LIBRARY_PATH for you if you source the right files (which we do ay boot by default in mbsd); thus the painful ldconfig gyrations that freebsd created aren't needed.

Add LICENSE. Few other cleanups. despite what the comments say, the USE_REINPLACE var hasn't been used for over a year.
Added support for the LICENSE variable. The current list of valid licenses can be found with the license-list target. This list is incomplete and will probably change. Renamed check_fake to check-fake to be more consistant with similar targets.
No MPORT_MAINTAINER_MODE for this port, having it defined would create a circular dependancy.
Added MPORT_MAINTAINER_MODE. This variable will turn on checks at points in the process to insure correct behavior. NOTE: YOU MUST INSTALL PERL WITH THIS UNSET BEFORE USING IT.
Handle the man page properly.

Add libgnome. This port is not currently installing the man page and will need to be revisited.
Really fix fake this time.
Various cleanups. bsd.perl.mk should now work with post/pre properly. Fixed an edge case in cached-install where the PKGFILE didn't exist but the package cookie did.
Updated to use the native fake system. Before the port would do its own custom fake dir, then install into the standard fake dir, and then build a package. The port now uses the standard fake dir to make it's plist, cutting down on complexity and build time.
Fake fixes.

Don't run the pkg-install at post-install.

add libbonobo needed by Gnome/GTK apps and fix ordering of makefile

Add gstreamer-plugins
Set the arch for AMD 64 properly
Port maintainer was wrong. $MidnightBSD$
Add v4l_compat (video for linux)
Add liboil
Let's get dangerous! This file works miracles. The primary problem with the mozilla port is the JavaScript Engine. This change makes the JS engine work on amd64 provided the makefile is hacked for amd64 instead of i386. make fake isn't 100% yet and make package still fails but if you manually run ./mozilla as root in the wrksrc/fake or possible the fake root (there actually is a fake directory created by the port unrelated to our fake) it actually works! I was able to load mozilla.org with it. Note all i had enabled for the build was DEBUG and the browser. Enabling other things (like ldap) causes it to fail still.
Add gstreamer.
NSS plugin patch.
nss plugin patch. corrects crashes with some protocols.
We added pidgin which is gaim 2 with a name change. Let's make that a conflict and also use newer autotools to work around some isolated incidents.
Fix perl support.
Fix a circual dependancy.
Add pidgin. Note this does not currently make use of GSTREAMER since I suspect we need to update it badly. (good is missing) There are still a few outstanding issues with the libpurple port which this depends on. I'm able to startup pidgin and use it with AIM, MSN and IRC.
Add the /usr/local/lib/libperl.so symlink to the plist. USE_PERL5=yes, so we get all the vars from bsd.perl.mk. USE_LDCONFIG, because we do have a lib in /usr/local/lib.
Perl and SILC support are disabled until we get some issues sorted out. This is a library required for gaim 2 aka pidgin
Remove the pre/post stuff. It doesn't work and probably isn't needed.
Don't cat the PKGMESSAGE.
A few cleanups. Changed to use OPTIONS.
ctriv suggested we switch to TRUE_PREFIX so make PREFIX=/foo works.
Fix a typo that broke USE_PERL5.
Fake fix. This is a terrible way to get a port to fake, and it should almost never been done. However, given the crusty state of BitchX's build system, this may be the best option. This port should NOT be used as a reference for fixing a fake install.
This isn't exactly the best fix, but it does make the shell scripts to start linux-seamonkey work. It should also fix linux-thunderbird, etc.
Add open source version of Lotus sametime protocol. This is *optional* for pidgin.
Security update for Bind 9.4 to 9.4.1 from a Release Candidate. Don't cat pkg message.
Don't run the package installs script at fake time, let pkg_add to it.

Preliminary patch to fix make fake and make package. The port now appears to install properly.

Add libdaemon, a library for simplifying making a UNIX daemon process. Specifically, this is used by GAIM 2 aka pidgin.

Put creation of the tmpplist in the exact same spot that fbsd's bsd.port.mk had it, fixing several edge cases with ports that generate their $PLIST. Typical gnustep-make 2 fix.
Fake fixes.
Update for gnustep-make 2.
Bug fix. make-tmplist was running before pre-install made the plist. This is still a little buggy, as it assumes that $MASTERDIR is readable.
Call make-tmpplist instead of generate-plist for automatic plist, as make-tmpplist includes things like info and ldconfig calls.
gnomeheir needs to be a run time dependancy now as well, as the mtree file is needed for fake as well.
Fake fixes. Call setup.py with the destdir and the proper prefix.
A few minor cleanups. USE_LDCONFIG and don't cat the PKGMESSAGE.

Minor cleanup.
A few minor cleanups.
Fake fixes. Changes to this port where rather extensive. It should be considered "beta" until further testing is conducted.
This is still not right. The pkg-plist changes creates the directory now for the files that are generated after install. the chroot is still failing (permisions might be the issue) and deinstall gives an error since the generated files are there. I could switch it to dirrmmtry to get rid of the error but it wouldn't actually delete the files then.
Presuming the install step works this is fixed. I'm still seeming weird permissions issues though.
Step 1: Make a pkg-install script instead of post-install
This *may* fix the problem with installation.

Various improvements. When installing dependancies, an attempt is now made to install the package ${PKGFILE}. If that file is not in ${PACKAGES}, then the port is built as per usual. At the end of fake sequence, any symlinks in ${FAKE_DESTDIR} that point to a file via an absolute path into ${FAKE_DESTDIR} are fixed to point to the correct file. Set NO_MTREE. As this port supplies the linux mtree file, it certainly can't use it. (well we could have set it to the file down in FILESDIR, but this works just as well).
Move makeplist to the end so that all the vars are defined. Update MTREE_LINUX_FILE to the new location. USE_LINUX no longer implies NO_MTREE, as we are going to have an mtree file for each linux-base.
Cleanup to work with fake.
Removed linux mtree file. This is now part of the linux base port.
Make the mtree file part of the port, and install it into $LOCALBASE/etc/mtree/. We'll have to do the same for gentoo at some point, but that's not a big deal.
Rip out a bunch of checks for old versio of freebsd.
Bug fix. The pkg-install script was getting the fake prefix, not the true prefix.
Cleaned up some. We don't need to run the install script anymore, pkg_add will do that now. This was also writing outside of $WRKDIR, a big no-no.

Fake fixes. LD_CONFIG crap can be removed from the install sequence, as pkg_add runs this for us (provided that the plist is correct, which in this case, it is).
---------------------------------------------------------------------- gnustep-make 2 cleanup.
Fake fixes.
The commands should be set to LOCALBASE, because a mod might have an odd prefix, which would not be the same prefix as your ruby install.
Fake fixes.
Fixes for fake.
Cleaned up some paths that were hard wired to $LOCALBASE that should have been set to $PREFIX.
Add KMODDIR to the variables faked.
Ripped out some old OS version stuff.
Fake fix.

Fake fix.
Fake fix.
Update gnustep-back version.
Run pre-su-install as well as pre-install. Warn that pre-su-install is deprecated.
This port depended on misc/hicolor-icon-themes which now installs in /usr/local instead of /usr/X11R6.

Remove some OS version checks. Still broken with mport
Update plist to work with gnustep-make 2 paths. This port has been tested under bsd.mport.mk.
Fake fixes.
Fixes for fake.
Make sure that PREFIX is still twiddled with for {pre,post}-install if the trueprefix FAKE_OPT is set. Don't delete the package cookie on make deinstall.

Forgot the new distinfo.
Updates for fake. Upgraded to 0.12.
Revert to 3.3.7 until i figure out the problem with qt 3.3.8
Update qmake to 3.3.8. This port works with mport, but the full qt install does not.
Remove alpha bits.
Fixes for fake.
Fixes for fake. Opera has some significant heuristics for icon installation, which break down for fake. We just install the icons we want by hand, heuristic is a fancy word for "doesn't work."
Fake fixes.
Fix maintainer. Remove unsupported architectures. Remove os version checks.
Fake fixes.
Update to 1.14. Fixes for mport.
Update to 2.0. This gives us DESTDIR support.
A few minor cleanups.
imake ports need USE_X_PREFIX for now. (manpages)
fixes for mport.
fix for mport. The post-install target is no longer needed. pkg_add will run the install script for us come make install time.
USE_IMAKE now implies USE_X_PREFIX. imake ports seem to be hardwired. A few other cleanups.
Add afterstep. Unfortunetley, this port uses X_PREFIX because of its MAN PAGES. After bsd.mport.mk is fixed, we might be able to switch this to /usr/local
Kyle's mom is a dirty... oh wait. This actually works now.
Path of WPrefs.app was changed but the plist was not updated. This fixes the path which also fixed make package.
Fix for fake.
Update to prerelease 28.
Update lynx to 2.8.6. Also removed the GPG checks which are useless.
Added new options for FAKE_OPTS: trueprefix. This is for ports that let you override both DESTDIR and PREFIX. Most ports don't do this, but if something is trying to install to $DESTDIR$PREFIX, and you get silly long paths, this is the option you need.
Fake fixes.
devel/gnustep-make: fake fix.
Bug fix. Some ports expect the temp packing list to be present during {pre,post}-install. We were doing it before 'package', which caused problems. The temp plist is now made in the begining of the 'fake' sequence.

Break xine on bsd.mport.mk, but fix it on bsd.port.mk. USE_X_PREFIX is needed right now. Until we can fix this port, its best to leave it working for end users (and me).
Update libxine port. Unlike FreeBSD, we still need the gcc 4.1+ hack on amd64. This needs to be investigated. Perhaps 3.4.6 would fix the problem?

Fix a couple comments. (s/^.*#/#/)
Fix for fake.
Opera will now install on x64. Removed static qt Opera option as it conflicts with our propolice patch. Instead of doing a hack, it just makes more sense to use qt. This should also install some of the files into /usr/local instead of /usr/X11R6...
importing unclutter into mports: unclutter removes the cursor image from the screen so that it does not obstruct the area you are looking at after it has not moved for a given time. It does not do this if the cursor is in the root window or a button is down. It tries to ignore jitter (small movements due to noise) if you have a mouse that twitches.
make install now creates the package that make package built. This is the first alpha version.
amd64, localbase, shared library is default.
Sync this with the qt version bump
Various fixes: - Wacked use.perl completely. This is no longer needed as we don't have perl in base. - A new script, pkg-glue handles some misc pkg stuff that use.perl used to handle. - fixed PLIST_SUB, the generated plist is now correct. - rolled pkg-plist back to older version, this now works because PLIST_SUB has been fixed. - Removed pkg-message. Not needed because the knobs are now handled with the options framework.
A few minor cleanups. PKGFILE is now ALWAYS in /usr/mports/Packages/All (unless you're silly enough to override it of course...)
reworked fake system. Somewhat similar to Open's now. Most ports should build correctly into their fake dirs now, though we'll have to check all the ports... make install is not yet up to speed with the changes, so users are still advised to use bsd.port.mk.
fixed DESTDIR support. We're going to be doing this a few times I think, as DESTDIR support is required for the new mports system. DESTDIR is used to tell the dist's makefile that although the prefix is still /usr/local, we're going to install somewhere else for the moment. See: http://www.gnu.org/prep/standards/html_node/DESTDIR.html

Clean up PLIST_SUB. ZSH_ETC was just wrong, and the site functions dir was broken for packages if it was inside $PREFIX.
Fixed a nasty bug that broke pkg_delete. Our tmp prefix wasn't recognized as one of the "standard" prefixes, so the packing list was setup to delete the prefix. Only problem is that the prefix for the package itself is the default prefix, which is something like /usr/local or /usr/X11R6.
Added devel/activitymail, an excellent perl script for sending CVS check-in emails.
Moved to /usr/local from /usr/X11R6.
Updated to .28.07. Patch Build.pm to recognize midnightbsd as a unix system.
package target now no longer installs the port onto the system. Instead the port is installed in $PORTDIR/$TMP_INSTALLDIR, and a package is made from that. Note that this code is probably not the final version, but care has been taken to make the changes small, as to not reinvent the wheel. New wheels are so bugy. All ports /must/ honor PREFIX for this to work.
The very begining of bsd.mport.mk. Right now there is very little difference between this and bsd.port.mk. There is a new target, tmpdir-install, that instals the port in a temporary directly. make package depends on this now, but given that the package target hasn't been updated to work with the tmp dir, make package is broken. Also, TMP_INSTALLDIR needs to be moved up to the top, with the rest of the vars. The port makefile in general needs to be refactored. It is close to 6000k lines long, and real bitch to work with.

Fix for prefix changes. Still needs upgrade to 3.3.8
Fixes for xprefix logic. These ports now install into /usr/local.
the gnome mtree is now under LOCALBASE.
Changes for cleaning up /usr/X11R6. USE_IMAKE no longer implies USE_X_PREFIX. USE_X_PREFIX no longer implies USE_XLIB. Support for XFree86 has also been removed. /use/X11R6 should only contain xorg, everything else should be installed in /usr/local. These changes make that possible, but some ports will need twiddling. The most common problem is that a port has set USE_X_PREFIX, this used to mean the port got USE_XLIB for free. 99.9% of the time, changing USE_X_PREFIX to USE_XLIB will fix the port. USE_IMAKE usually will need USE_XLIB to be added. USE_XLIB now goes to extra steps to make sure that a port will see the xlibs.
Added chkxprefix.pl; a simple script to check if a port and its dependcies don't have an /usr/X11R6 prefix.

The distinfo file contained entries only for a server install.. the docs and client failed. Since I had to work on this port a bit, I just updated it to a recent version. make(makesum) checks were added to help generate make distinfo with all the combinations.
